新橋の高架下で撮影したストリートスナップを氷写真にし、東京都内でゲリラ展示した作品。
展示中、通りかかった一人から「君、芸大生？」と声を掛けられた。その何気ない一言を、そのまま展示作品のタイトルとした。
僕は芸大出身ではない。強いて言うなら高卒だ。
写真を始めたきっかけは、父が買ってくれた一台のデジカメだった。 それでも積み重ねてきた時間が、この一言を生んだのだと思う。

A work created from street photographs taken beneath the Shimbashi railway tracks, transformed into “ice photographs” and exhibited guerrilla-style in Tokyo.
During the exhibition, a passerby stopped and asked me, “Are you an art student?” I used that casual remark as the title of the work itself.
I did not attend an art university. If anything, I am a high school graduate.
I began taking photographs with a single digital camera my father bought for me. Even so, I believe that the years I spent continuing to make photographs eventually gave rise to those simple words.
