被写体には東京スカイツリーを選んだ。人工物の象徴であるスカイツリーが、自然がつくる結晶の中に現れることで、都市と氷という異なる構造が一枚の写真の中で重なる。

A work that visualizes the crystalline structure of ice using polarizing filters.
I chose the Tokyo Skytree as the subject. As a crystallization of human technology, the Skytree emerges within crystals formed by nature. The work brings together two different kinds of “crystals”—the natural crystals of ice and the crystallization of human technology—within a single photograph.
