顔があるという当たり前の現実を写せないもどかしさを表現するため、作りこまれたショーケース内の首のないマネキンと顔を塗り潰した警備員を対比させた作品。
写真はやがて不自由に、虚像へと変わっていく。そんなメッセージを込めている。

The Coat Without a Face

To express the frustration of being unable to photograph what should be an ordinary reality—the presence of a face—I juxtaposed a headless mannequin displayed inside an elaborate showcase with a security guard whose face had been painted over.
Photography eventually becomes constrained, transforming into an illusion. This work carries that message.
